Mr. Stoneman's FAQ's

QUALITY

Built to Last, Responsibly Sourced

“How do I know the stone will be consistent from pallet to pallet?”

Because we control the source. Our stone is locally sourced from the Grey Bruce Peninsula—within five miles of our plant—allowing tight control over raw material, colour, and finish. That consistency is why we maintain a 99.9% quality success rate.

“What happens if there’s an issue years down the road?”

We stand behind our product with a lifetime warranty. If something leaves our plant, it’s built to perform long after the job is complete.  Please find attached our Lifetime Warranty

“Why does local sourcing actually matter?”

Local sourcing reduces variability, shortens supply chains, and eliminates the batch inconsistency that often appears when stone is imported or blended from multiple quarries.

“Isn’t all manufactured stone basically the same?”

Not when quality shows up years later. Poor finishes, fading, and failures often don’t appear until after the scaffolding is gone. Our process is designed to prevent those issues before they ever reach the site.

“Are all stone and masonry products basically the same?”

No. While many products may look similar at installation, performance differences show up over time—especially where stone meets moisture, soil, and freeze-thaw conditions. Our products are engineered and tested to perform in real-world conditions, not just look good on day one.

“Can your products be installed at grade or near ground level?”

Yes. Our stone is designed to lay at grade without deteriorating. Because we control raw material sourcing and manufacturing, our products resist moisture absorption, freeze-thaw cycling, and breakdown that commonly affect lower-quality stone when installed near soil or hardscape.

“Why do some masonry products fail at grade?”

Many products absorb moisture and weren’t designed for continuous exposure to ground contact, splash-back, and freeze-thaw cycles. Over time, this leads to cracking, spalling, fading, and structural breakdown.

“What makes your products different at grade?”

Dense, high-quality raw materials sourced locally from the Niagara Escarpment
Controlled manufacturing that limits absorption and surface degradation
Proven performance in harsh Canadian climates
Long-term durability backed by a lifetime warranty

“Do you require special details or workarounds at grade?”

No unusual detailing or compromises. When installed properly, our products perform at grade without the need for artificial cut-offs, visual gaps, or design sacrifices often required with lower-performing alternatives.

“What does this mean for designers and builders?”

It means more freedom. You can carry the stone cleanly to grade without worrying about premature deterioration, callbacks, or future repairs—while maintaining the integrity of the design.

FLEXIBILITY

Designed Around Your Project

“What if my project doesn’t fit standard sizes or details?”

That’s exactly why we exist. We offer the most SKUs, sizes, colours, textures, and finishes in the industry—including corners, bevels, and mechanically fastened systems—so your design doesn’t have to compromise.

“Can you handle complex or custom designs?”

Yes. Stone is a puzzle. Force the wrong piece, and the whole wall suffers. Our systems are designed to adapt to the project—not the other way around.

“What types of projects do you support?”

We support both residential and ICI projects, from straightforward applications to highly customized architectural designs.

“Why not just choose a simpler, limited option?”

Limited options lead to repetitive designs and forced compromises. We expanded our solutions as masonry evolved—so architects and builders don’t have to say no to good design.

MAKE IT EASY

From Product Selection to Jobsite

“Will this slow my project down?”

No. We’ve built our systems to remove delays, not create them. With on-hand inventory, fast production, and 100% on-time delivery, masonry stays on schedule.

“How fast can custom orders really be?”

Custom jobs typically turn around in 2–4 weeks, not months. We invested early in capacity and systems so timelines stay predictable.

“Is product selection complicated?”

It shouldn’t be. Our web-based selection tools and BIM integrations simplify decision-making early—reducing changes and surprises later.

“What problems does this actually eliminate?”

Missed deliveries, unclear timelines, long manufacturing cycles, supply-chain delays, and last-minute scrambling. When everything just works, masonry becomes the easiest part of the project.
